Private hire terms

These terms govern the exclusive booking of the premises and services of Piren Restaurang & Bar (“Piren”) for private occasions such as weddings, parties, corporate events and the like.

1. Booking and formation of contract

1.1. A binding agreement between the customer (“the Client”) and Piren is formed only once Piren has approved the booking in writing and a booking confirmation has been sent to the Client by email.

1.2. By confirming the booking, the Client undertakes to comply with all the terms of this policy.

2. Minimum spend and payment terms

2.1. An agreed minimum spend shall be paid by the Client no later than 14 calendar days before the date of the event.

2.2. If payment is not received within that period, Piren reserves the right to cancel the booking without further obligation to the Client.

2.3. No refund of payment made will be given on cancellation, for any reason, including but not limited to illness, force majeure, changed circumstances or other unforeseen events.

3. Liability for damage

3.1. The Client bears full financial responsibility for all damage caused to the property, furnishings, fixtures or equipment belonging to Piren during the hire period, whether caused by the Client, guests or third parties.

3.2. Piren reserves the right, after the event has ended, to invoice the Client for the cost of repair or replacement arising from such damage.

3.3. Piren is not responsible for personal belongings brought by the Client or their guests, nor for any loss of or damage to such belongings during the event.

4. Staff and external suppliers

4.1. All staffing services in connection with the event are provided exclusively by Piren. Externally hired staff or suppliers may not be engaged without Piren's written approval.

5. Timings and use of the premises

5.1. The premises are at the Client's disposal only during the times stated in the booking confirmation.

5.2. Exceeding the agreed hire period is charged at the applicable overtime rate. Piren is entitled to end the event where the stated finishing time is materially exceeded.

5.3. Any external equipment, decorations or similar brought into the premises by the Client shall be removed immediately after the event ends, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6. Food and drink

6.1. All food and drink services shall be provided by Piren. Alcohol or food brought in by the Client is prohibited unless a written exemption has been granted by Piren and the necessary permits have been produced.

7. Order, safety and the law

7.1. The Client is responsible for ensuring that the event is conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including alcohol legislation, fire safety rules and public order.

7.2. Piren reserves the right, without any obligation to refund, to end the event immediately in the event of disorder, violent behaviour, breaches of alcohol legislation, or other events that endanger safety or contravene this policy.

8. Force majeure

8.1. Piren is released from liability for any damage, loss or delay arising from circumstances beyond Piren's control, such as but not limited to fire, flood, decisions of public authorities, pandemic, technical failure, sabotage, strike, power failure or other force majeure events.

9. Disputes

9.1. Disputes arising from this policy or its application shall in the first instance be resolved by negotiation between the parties. If agreement cannot be reached, the dispute shall be determined by the Swedish general courts, with Stockholm District Court as the court of first instance.
